Machines repaired, not left broken

A laundromat on Addison that maintains its machines

Thirty-three washers and fifty dryers on Addison, in Dunning — when a machine goes down, the commitment is simple: it gets repaired, not left with a sign taped to it. The prices are on the wall and on this site, so you can work out a visit before leaving home, and if you would rather not do it yourself, you do not have to.

Rows of large-capacity washers and dryers on the Laundry Station floor

Which service do you need?

Three sentences cover most people. Pick the one that sounds like your day.

Comforters, rugs and sleeping bags are oversized household items. Recurring business volume is quoted as a commercial account. Every service happens on site at 6043 W Addison St — nothing is sent to an outside facility.

What size washer do you need?

The floor runs from 20 lb machines up to 80 lb, from a single basket to an area rug. The large machines are also useful for doing several home loads at once.

MachinePriceWhat it fits
20 lb washer$3.75One regular load, or a week for one or two people
40 lb washer$5.75A family week, or a queen comforter
60 lb washer$7.50A king comforter, or several loads together
80 lb washer$12.00Rugs, sleeping bags and bulky household items

Which Chicago neighbourhoods we deliver to

Dunning, Portage Park, Belmont Cragin, Montclare, Galewood, Jefferson Park, Avondale, Irving Park, Harwood Heights and Elmwood Park, plus nearby streets. Just outside? Call and we will tell you straight away.

What changed at this laundromat under new ownership

The store changed hands in July 2026 — it is family-owned and local, part of this neighbourhood rather than a chain passing through, and only a few weeks old under new ownership, so we would rather say that plainly than imply a history we do not have yet. Every machine has been through a service, including four new 60 lb washers, and the full price list is posted publicly on the wall, on the machines, and on this site; new lighting and new signage are in, and a card payment system is going in for card, EBT and Apple Pay alongside cash. The floor is staffed by people from the area who speak English and Spanish — the friendliest, most helpful staff you will find anywhere in Chicago — so come in and look at the floor rather than take any of this on trust.
